General Information
Client: Persimmon HomesLocation: UK-wide, with key sites in the South West and Exeter
Industry: Residential Construction (Housebuilding)
Persimmon Homes is a major player in the UK residential construction sector, specialising in high-quality, affordable new-build properties. Operating nationally, the company is committed to building family-friendly homes that support sustainable communities. With a focus on quality, environmental responsibility, and social value, Persimmon Homes plays a critical role in addressing the UK’s growing housing needs.
Business Needs and Background
As part of a drive to improve workplace amenities and employee experience, Persimmon Homes sought to enhance the refreshment facilities available at their South West Regional Hub and Exeter Hub. Neither location previously had a dedicated coffee offering, and the South West office only had a basic wall-mounted hot water boiler.
Following the appointment of a new Managing Director, the South West Hub prioritised upgrading its coffee provision. The MD had seen a high-quality solution at her previous office and wanted to bring a similarly premium experience to her new team.
Solution Delivered by Roundstone
Working closely with the PA to the MD, Jacqui Edwards, Roundstone Solutions provided a seamless, end-to-end experience. We swiftly proposed and delivered a tailored coffee solution that included:
South West Regional Hub:
Vitro X1 Espresso Coffee Machine
Borg & Overström B3 Water Cooler
Customised drinks menu to match team preferences
Coffee waste collection included free of charge to support sustainability goals
Exeter Hub:
Vitro X1 Espresso Coffee Machine
Water cooler audit currently underway to identify cost savings and possible upgrades
Speed, Service, and Sustainability
The turnaround from consultation to installation at the South West site was completed in under one week, demonstrating our ability to act quickly without compromising on quality. Our engineer, Colin, delivered a smooth installation and was even able to plumb the coffee machine directly, eliminating the need for a water tank, which the client hadn’t thought possible.
In line with Persimmon’s sustainability values, Roundstone is supporting their eco-initiatives through free coffee waste collection at the South West Hub, helping them to reduce landfill and promote environmentally conscious practices.
Client Feedback
“What a great experience from start to finish! We were given an excellent insight and knowledge of the Vitro X1 Espresso by Donald before deciding to place our order, which was then turned around in under a week. Installation was great – Colin did an excellent job, he was extremely knowledgeable and was able to install the machine without the need of a water tank, which we didn’t think would be possible. We have had ALL positive feedback from staff who are very impressed and have said it’s a game changer – so easy to use and has plenty of options for everyone.”– Jacqui Edwards, PA to the Managing Director, South West Regional Hub
Measurable Impact
Positive staff feedback from both locations, particularly on ease of use and quality of drinks
